Spring has officially sprung at Tierra and Rosewood! 🌷🦆

Spring has officially sprung at Tierra and Rosewood! 🌷🦆

For the past five or so years, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the same mama duck who chooses the Rosewood courtyard to lay her eggs each spring. Usually, she has around 10 or fewer ducklings… but this year she truly outdid herself.

This spring, she welcomed 16 babies—yes, you read that right—16 ducklings! 🐣🐣🐣

We also had another small group of baby ducks from a different mama who unfortunately got trapped in a drain grate. Thanks to the quick action, love, and care of the dedicated staff at Rosewood and Tierra, those little ducklings were safely rescued. Sadly, their mama was nowhere to be found.

In a heartwarming turn of events, we introduced the rescued ducklings to our mama of 16—and she lovingly accepted four more babies under her wings, bringing her total to 20 ducklings! 💕

Nature, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart made this spring extra special.

Is it Autumn yet???

Writing this post and it’s 88 degrees and supposed to be near 100 degrees tomorrow! But, kids are back to school and a lot of us are ready for the leaves to change and some cooler weather. Whatever this autumn season brings to you, please take some time to enjoy the cooler mornings, vibrant colors everywhere, and (soon!) a nice hot drink! Savor it all.

Holiday Season

As we enter the holiday season and see the end of 2023, we want to wish our friends and family absolutely every possible joy and peace. This can be a hectic time and we hope you pause to enjoy the important things - family, friends, good health, a warm home, and love.

Summer Time

We’re having a busy summer on our campus! Warm weather, fireworks and bbq’s are just some of the things that everyone has been enjoying.

If you have a chance to stop by and visit you’ll enjoy a trip to the pond where there are always many ducks and geese to greet you.

Before long, we’ll see the autumn weather settling in with cooler nights and that touch of crispness in the air. For now, we hope you all have a safe and fun summer!

And, just like that... (TWO years later!)

After two years of a bizarre existence, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Most states are lifting mask requirements. In Oregon, as of 11:59 pm on March 11, 2022, the mask mandate from the state will be lifted. This change is due to the relatively low numbers of new cases of Covid in the state. However we will, for the foreseeable future, still require masks at the facility. If you have any questions, please call the facility.

This has been a surreal world we’ve lived in for two years. I think everyone should feel proud at going through this, and coming out the other side. To all of you who took the mask mandate seriously, received your vaccinations (including the booster!), we thank you. Tierra Rose/Rosewood Court did an excellent job at managing the pandemic. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Autumn Arrives!

And, just like that, it’s autumn. Where did the year go? Much of our efforts here at Tierra Rose, and Rosewood Court, were spent keeping residents safe through Covid. Our staff has done such an excellent job of trying to keep moods up, while being extra cautious with all we’re doing. As we enter this fourth quarter of the year, we want to wish all our families, and friends, a wonderful October. Enjoy the fall leaves, a warm cider or hot chocolate, and remember everything we have to be thankful for.

Ducks!!!

Princess Leia, our resident duck at Rosewood, is taking good care of her babies! We can’t wait to see them! :)

Happy 2021! (Goodbye 2020!!!)

What a weird year we’ve all been through. The past 12 months have been chaotic for everyone. We feel very fortunate that our facilities have done well. Our staff have been AMAZING! We’re currently half way through getting all staff, and residents, vaccinated. We are very grateful that our group was a top priority. The sooner everyone gets vaccinated, the sooner we can regain a sense of normalcy. Our goal, is to get back to families being able to safely visit.

We hope you, and yours, have stayed safe. As bleak as it’s been, we feel grateful to have been supported by our families, and many others who have done everything they can to help.

Our best wishes to all for 2021!

Where did summer go???

Hello Everyone! Spring and summer flew away from us, and here we are in autumn! How did that happen? We have been diligently working on keeping residents and staff safe during this difficult year. We are grateful to everyone who has supported us and been so kind. Our staff has been AMAZING! We feel very fortunate. We look forward to the upcoming holidays and making it special for everyone. Thank you for all your help! We wish you, and yours, all the best as this crazy 2020 winds up.

To our Tierra Rose Senior Living Community family - Please be assured we are following all State of Oregon advice regarding the COVID-19 virus. We are consulting with an infection control expert, as well as educating staff and family. At this time, we’d like to limit visitors as much as possible.
